The coffee was regarded as a trigger cancer. It was also agreed by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) working under the WHO which set the coffee as a beverage carcinogenic cause of cancer since 1991. However, it was later revealed the levels of risk, because there is no strong evidence that coffee causes cancer.

The latest study, also conducted by IARC revealed, not coffee cause cancer, but drank above normal temperatures was the cause. IARC said it was because of hot drinks showed linkage with esophageal cancer. This evidence was obtained based on research conducted in the country of Iran, China, and South Africa where the population often consume hot drinks 70o Celsius temperature.

Initially, the coffee put in a category 2B by IARC, which means the show is likely to cause bladder cancer. However, its status has been downgraded to category 3, which means it can not be put into carcinogenic.
